ST. ANDREW'S CHRISTMAS NOVENA

Tradition has it, that if one prays the St. Andrew Prayer 15 (fifteen) times per day from the Feast of St. Andrew, Nov 30 until Christmas Eve, (25 days) (a total of 375 times) they will receive their request.

It is thought that this novena began in Ireland to honor the Nativity of Our Lord about a century ago and has grown in popularity ever since. This is not a true 9 day novena but a 25 day recitation.

You may pray the prayer all 15 times at once or break it up throughout the day, so long as at the end of the day it has been said 15 times.

The St. Andrew Prayer below:

Hail and blessed be the hour and moment in which the Son of God was born of the most pure Virgin Mary, at midnight, in Bethlehem, in the piercing cold. In that hour vouchsafe, I beseech Thee, O my God, to hear my prayer and grant my desires, (mention your request ) through the merits of Our Savior Jesus Christ, and of His blessed Mother. Amen.
